This page is for collecting notes on operating the steam engine in the steamship Virginia V, the last operating wood passenger steamer in the US.
The engine is a triple expansion, double acting, three cylinder steam engine. It was designed by John T. Heffernan and built in downtown Seattle by Heffernan Engine Works.
